Richard Johnston
Richard Johnston has been involved with Randall Hardy and his Amen web site. It is understood that Johnston contributed to the writing of the site. Johnston’s position on young earth creationism can be seen here: http://www.amen.org.uk/whoarewe.htm. There is more information at http://www.amen.org.uk/studies/rhj/index.htm. Answers in Genesis has an article by him as http://www.answersingenesis.org/tj/v17/i1/Flood.asp (co-authored with Paul Garner, Michael Garton, Steven Robinson and David Tyler.) There is more information at http://www.biblicalcreation.org/biblical_studies/bcs095.html and http://www.amen.org.uk/vorwelt/megasucc/english.htm
Johnston has a PhD in mathematics and was formerly a public sector employee in a UK research laboratory. He is understood to be into his 60s. He has his own web site at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/johnstonrh/index.html. Johnston is based in Northeast Hampshire. Unusually for a fundamentalist, he has an interest in beer.
Amongst the creationist groups his main involvement appears to be Randall Hardy’s Amen operation but he has clearly been involved in Answers in Genesis and the Biblical Creation Society. In general, though, Johnston does not appear to be one of the central mafia of creationist activists in the UK.
