"Dr" John Blanchard
John Blanchard is an itinerant evangelical minister in the UK.
"Dr" John Blanchard has been involved in Truth in Science alongside David Tyler, Andy McIntosh, Derek Linkens, Richard Porter and Stephen Taylor. He was on the council of reference with these people. Stephen Layfield has also been involved.
However, Blanchard's presence in the organisation seriously undermines the whole credibility of Truth in Science's claims to "better" education in the UK. That's because Blanchard's PhD is not recognised by anyone. He bought it from a diploma mill. The "truth" in Truth in Science appears not to extend to bogus qualifications.
His PhD is from the Pacific International University. Ever heard of it?
Probably not given its standing. Well it’s a diploma mill owned by some extremely dubious creationists who are so wacky that other creationists want nothing to do with them. The creationists involved have awarded themselves their own degrees. It has no full time academic staff. Indeed, it appears to have no academic staff at all. One of its owners, Carl Baugh, is so wacko that mainstream creationists debunk him. Their own website warns that the 'qualifications' they offer prospective students are not recognised by the legitimate academic world.
