Bradford Creation Science Group
It is not known if this local group is still in existence. Our understanding is that its most recent chairman and founding member was Tom Edmondson. According to Answers in Genesis, Tom Edmondson holds degrees in music from Trinity College of Music (London University) and also a degree in history and philosophy from the Open University. Together with his wife he did linguistic and translation work among the Ejagham people of SE Nigeria and SW Cameroon with Wycliffe Bible Translators for a number of years.
He co-authored the article “Flood models: the need for an integrated approach” (by Andy McIntosh, T. Edmondson & Stephen Taylor. It appeared in the AiG Technical Journal, 14 (1) April 2000 and can be seen at: http://www.answersingenesis.org/tj/v14/i1/flood_models.asp
None of the three authors has any qualifications in the earth sciences. Whilst to the lay person, the article looks impressive, it is standard fundamentalist crapola from start to finish.
It also appears that Stephen Layfield (see Infiltration) was at some stage chairman and a member of the Bradford creationist group. Presumably this was when he was head of science at St Bede’s Grammar School in the city, before he went onto Emmanuel College. He joined the latter, it is understood, in January 2001.
