Who Runs and Organises the Centre for Intelligent Design?
Stanyard's Law: Creationists seldom meet, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, in some monstrous contrived scam to dupe or deceive.
According to its web site and research undertaken by the BCSE, five people in the UK appear to be directly involved in the establishment and running of C4ID. Two further people (both Americans) closely associated with the Intelligent Design movement are also involved in its launch.
According to C4IDs web site at www.c4id.org.uk the three known staffers are:
Professor Norman Nevin OBE, President
Dr Alastair Noble, Director
Dr David Galloway, Vice President
All three are members of the Brethren, committed to Christian evangelical activity, and their suggestion that their current activity is inspired by scientific concerns is completely unconvincing.
From a press report out of Guernsey, one John Langlois , has declared he is involved but his precise position is unknown. He is an Elim Pentecostal evangelical activist.
BCSE research has identified a Chelmsford based evangelical, Peter Loose, as involved in setting up C4ID's web site. He's also an Elim Pentecostal evangelical activist.
Three others are involved in C4ID's launch – Professors Michael Behe and Steve Fuller who were both expert witnesses on the losing side of the Dover trial and Dr Geoff Barnard, a young earth creationist also involved in Truth in Science.
A quick analysis shows that of the five main people behind the launch of C4ID, three are Brethren and two are . These are small denominations and the five are not representative of religion at large in the United Kingdom.
Of those five, four are pensioners. C4ID is not an organisation of young blood.
